Skiing/athleticism is in the genes for Park City's Alex Schlopy. Alex's mom, Holly Flanders, is a two-time Olympian and three-time World Cup downhill winner. Father, Todd Schlopy, played football for the Buffalo Bills. In 2011, Schlopy asserted himself as one of the best slopestyle and big air competitors, starting at WX 2011: He won Big Air gold as a rookie and rode that momentum into the World Championships in Park City, UT, winning the World Slopestyle Championships. He followed that with another Slopestyle win at the Dew Tour stop in Ogden, UT. The competition arena is not the only place where Schlopy excels; he frequently lights up the screen for ski movie production companies.
